AVXMP3 005 - (i)sodyne - Mek Dub not war EP

ImageMek Dub Not War comes courtesy of Avionix's newest Act : (i)sodyne

This EP pushes real analogue bass sounds with a live electronic feel fusing deep reverberated chords, real analogue/tape delay and a driving tech_house riddem section, generally the tracks were recorded in one take with all of the manipulation you hear being twisted up live.

Please right click on the track names highlighted below to download these free tracks, currently the selection is unavailable as a full zip, although this will be updated shortly.

Track 1 : Mek Dub not War is a driving slab of dubtech, taking a big leaf from Rythym and sounds book, (i)sodyne takes in a more polished and smooth approach still maintaining a raw , lo fi and often analogue sound, with deep driving chords, splashy echoes and a deep skanking groove, this track has already been turning heads since it's promo release.

Next up is : Elements , again , a driving slice of dubtech, this time with more emphasis on tech, displaying shades of walker's early work such as : monolink, this track is essential for anyone wanting to chart the deeper developments on offer here.

ImageDub System and Party Crew : Soulfyre Deejays turn in a more traditional dub mix of Mek Dub not war , with a stripped down riddem, booming analogue bassline and skanking chords, this mix is an excellent introduction to the mystical, unseen selektahs !!

Rounding off the EP in fine style is Ethereal , Patrick Walker slips into full on experimental dance mode , to remix this delicate and slightly twisted track, full of emotion and with a crackling microhouse edge this will no doubt make an impact on more experimental dancefloors.

as always - massive shouts to macjak for the cover art.
