AVXMP3 004 : Fabrik nos : Sharp objects EP

Image LA Based : Fabrik nos serves up a hard steppin' selection of techno cuts for us in our latest offering : The 'Sharp Objects' EP. With a range of styles from grooved up abstract to pulsing minimal techno filled with offkilter 'shreddy' sounds and analogue basslines on a bubbly electro tip, this EP is a true melting pot of ideas.
Fabrik nos is responsible for LA based Heavy Industries , a fine stable for up and coming and established techno and tech-house acts alike, including acts such as Simex, Section one (primevil) and many more.

This EP marks the 1st of many, great guest EP's on Avionix and we hope that you will enjoy it as much as we have !

Maintaining a fairly solid feel throughout - this work has overtones of a less purist Surgeon, or even shades of thumping minimal techno on a Villalobos tip, as displayed by the funky, tribal work-out : Ghett-out NY which kicks off the EP in true dancefloor destroying style.

Next up 'Prepare' takes us on a slightly more experimental journey, with a heavy , solid kick and oldschool DJAX - alike percussion, Prepare noodles it's way along, dropping glitched up vocals and odd synth melodies into the mix as it goes. A functional track which takes no prisoners when it comes to Phonk !

Image November reminded us a lot of the old Swedish sound, but comes fused with a new energy. The percussion is tight, and the odd stab and vocal sample drives the mix along nicely. 'Driving' would be a good way to relate this track's forged intensity, with each little pause, a new level of excitement is generated , making this a perfect, peak time stormer for any techno
dancefloor.

The strangeley named Tödliche is quite simply, a monster of a track, bitreduced textures interlace with nagging, 'shreddy' melodies and tight percussion make this reminicant of the sort of Techno you might expect from a British Murder boys or Suregeon/Regis set.

The Industrial style kick drives effortlessly and this track builds and builds until you think it's going to explode, before dropping down to more minimal stylings, only to whip things up again
for the remainder of the track.

Massive props to Macjak for his excellent cover design.
