 Adding Edinburgh techno night React to his list of dates this year, Patrick Walker will be joining a number of other Edinburgh Playaz to spin his first DJ set in nearly 6 Months. Taking a break from his live shows, Walker will be playing a selection of Deep Dub/Techno crossover material from labels such as M:L, Chain Reaction, Burial Mix, Scape and some of his own unreleased lo-fi dub experiments.
This peformance will take place in the Venue's Cooler with
entertainment on the main floor from : DJ Amok (Highball, Kne' Deep,
Giga-Music) and React residents Ramkanman + Fiddla.
Walker will be joined in the Cooler by : Pogo Vogue's Brian D' Souza, Shadowskills DJ's and Obscene's Termite completing what looks like an excellent line up. You can expect a good variety of music, from Shadowskill's tuff drum and bass sound right through to Amok's gritty, fast paced techno
With the Avionix Team spending a lot of time on projects and in the studio over the winter, this will be a rare chance to catch Walker playing an alternative selection of tunes. Those lucky enough to have made it to any of the Soulfyre Collective nights will know exactly what to expect: Throbbing, spaced out dub-techno with a warm spiritual undercurrent.
